In the re-arranged league game Pumas came up against a well organised Fareham side who asked our defense a few questions early on, despite this it was the Pumas who scored after good work down the left between Dan W & Finley which ended up with Moorow tapping in from a yard out to make it 1-0. Fareham though were still asking us questions & it was they who scored next halfway through the half to make it 1-1. Pumas though were playing with a swagger with excellent work by Dan W who started to show what we know he is capable of, this new found confidence was also being shown by a few of the other youngsters with Finley B, Xander & Bahy all upping their game to join Oakley & Ned at their consistent high standard - it was a joy to see.
As the half was coming to an end another well worked goal came about after Xander drove into the D on the right to the base line keeping the ball on his stick & then slotting a pass which ended up with Finley scoring his 1st league goal from half a yard out at the far post to make it 2-1 at HT.
The 2nd half continued in the same vane as the the the 1st with us getting chances & midway through Pete W scored one of his many efforts to make it 3-1 & although Fareham scored a short corner goal late on Pumas managed to see the game out for an important win.

Hopefully this will be the spring board to enable us to achieve more wins in the new year.
With the game being well umpired thank you Pete H & Haidyn & playing against a good bunch of lads from Fareham this all made it an enjoyable game to be involved in.
