Following up on recent success in the home nations, Portsmouth Mens 1s player Stuart Avery is once again pulling on the nation's colours as he represents England O45s at the Masters Hockey European Championships in Rotterdam.
England opened their campaign on Monday with a comprehensive victory over Italy. After conceding early, England battled back scoring six of their own, with Avery claiming the final goal in the 56th minute.
Tuesday saw the good start continue with a 4-2 win over Ireland, to see England progress as group winners into the medal pool, where they will play Germany on Friday, and Scotland on Saturday for the silverware.
